PIMI Event Series Presents: Demystifying the CV

Polar Impact welcomes members and the public to join the final event in the inaugural Polar Impact Mentorship Initiative (PIMI) Event Series, during which participants will learn how to create and perfect their CVs and resumes for applications in academia and industry.

We will hear from two experts about how to make your CV stand out, avoid common mistakes, and tailor your application materials for the academic or industry position you are applying for. Our guest speakers will lead a demonstration on how to improve an example resume, and participants will be placed in breakout rooms to peer-review each other’s CVs and resumes using what they’ve learned.

Registration through Eventbrite is required in order to receive the Zoom link! Learn more about our panelists and sign up to attend at the link above. Please email hello@polarimpactnetwork.org if you have any questions!

PIMI Event Series Presents: Meaningful Collaborations in Polar Research, Policy, and Polar Communities

Join Polar Impact for the third event in the Polar Impact Mentorship Initiative Event Series as we explore what contributes to “successful” collaborations. We view collaborations through multiple lenses and embrace the benefits that come from engaging with interdisciplinary research groups, policy and decision makers, and community members. Whether you are building a career in polar research, have decades of polar experience, or want to learn more about how communities, scientists, and decision makers can better work together to solve complex problems, this panel discussion will offer insights and inspiration for all.

Registration through Eventbrite is required in order to receive the Zoom link! Learn more about the incredible panelists and sign up to attend at the link above. Please email hello@polarimpactnetwork.org if you have any questions!
